After reading an article about a matador, I was inspired to write The Matador Who Ran Away From The Spider. About a matador in Spain, the piece briefly mentioned that she was scared of spiders. I thought this was hilarious.. and it's the punchline to my first funny rhyme.. "Perreras is used to fighting huge creatures as a bullfighter. But then he’s scared of such a tiny spider!"

And.. around the same time I woke up and found that something had bitten me. There was a Huntsman spider living above our front door, inside the house, could it have been him?

The Matador Who Ran Away From The Spider, is the first in a series of educational, yet funny bedtime stories for kids. My twin nephews, whom I was constantly trying to entertain - Jayden and Harrison, motivated me to write the stories.
